The Maroa Home Discipleship program is a 12 month, Christ Centered residential rehabilitation program which is dedicated to providing a safe family atmosphere to give men hope, structure, and redirection for their lives. This program teaches men how to live Godly lives. A complete life changing program which offers housing, counsel, mentoring and guidance, discipline, Biblical instruction and “life skills” training to help men with drug and alcohol addictions fine a new way of living in a safe family environment.
Since opening the doors at Maroa Home in 1984, we have served more that 500,000 meals and housed more than 3,500 men. Families have been reconciled, new converts baptized, weddings performed and babies dedicated to Christ.
The environment of Maroa Home is highly structured, yet maintains and extended family atmosphere. Our program consists of four basic components:
Spiritual Our Spiritual foundation is interdenominational and evangelical. Our program emphasis incorporates personal and group devotionals, prayer, Bible instruction, outreach activities, Church attendance and pastoral or professional counseling when necessary
Academic Our academic program is designed to restore memory function, rebuild concentration and attention span, and renew cognitive processes. There are morning, afternoon and evening classes in Time Management, Work Ethics, Relationship-Communication Skills, and Spiritual Values.
Physical Vocational training activities are provided to teach customer service skills and work ethics which are designed to prepare our residents for full time employment. A daily physical training class is conducted in the mornings.
Recovery 12 step recovery material is provided. Drug and Alcohol education and Anger Management training are taught by volunteer professionals. |
